MS degree: Cyber-Security vs Information Assurance?

I am juggling between the 2, I am leaning toward IA because its the newest major ever. any feedback or comments? in the future i want to be IT Sec professional

    What do you mean by newest major ever? Both are basically the same thing, it depends on what the courses you have to take are at each school. Some schools are more focused on policy, others on networks, others... you get the point. IT Security is a big field, but all of them do require good writing and communication skills.

    I would go with IA because Cyber Security is just a buzz word at this point. Courses will probably be about the same, but at the end of the day you'll garner more respect with IA in my opinion.
