Should I list my address on my resume? I've read on here that it's not needed but does anyone here who does hiring have any insight into this?

However, if that's the reason, it'll be known if you get called into an interview and you are 1000miles away.
Personally, I don't see the sense in leaving it off other than the fear of junk mail spam.Bachelor of Science, Information Technology (Software) - WGU -
Bokeh Member Posts: 1,636 ■■■■■■■□□□I really dont see why you wouldn't list it. I know in the positions we have had open lately, the hiring managers look at the address. They don't want to waste their time calling to set up an interview if the person is not even in the area they are hiring for. Especially if the company is not offering relocation options, the address is something that is important to them. Others may think otherwise.

Akaricloud Member Posts: 938I always put mine on. Companies like to make sure the applicant is local, isn't going to have a horrible 2 hour commute, ect. I've tried applying for jobs using an address that was 300 miles away(was planning on moving), and got almost 0 callbacks. As soon as I changed it to a local address I had tons.
This absolutely makes a difference. It's much easier to hire someone down the block vs across the country(or even internationally).
