Entry Level Job Prospects in London

I don't see too many entry-level networking jobs advertised around where I am, but there are number of help desk positions. I'm thinking of complimenting my CCNP with MCITP:SA, but I'm just not too sure. My thinking is that if I can get my MCITP:SA then chances of me landing an entry-level help desk position when I graduate next year in a larger organisation would be much greater. And the larger the organisation the better chance of me having the opportunity of moving into a networking related position in the future.
I have no knowledge of server, so I'm guessing it will take me anywhere between 3-6 months to complete the 3 exams. I guess MCITP:EA would be overkill for an entry-level job, especially if I don't want to be a server guy (although that could change, might find I enjoy working with server!).
Thoughts? Would particularly like to hear from people in the London area who are aware of the kind of positions available in the job market right now.
