    I had a "friend" read this post, and he told me to write for him, that was the most asinine question he had ever read regarding resume advice.

    Ok - quick semi-related question... I was just looking at my school's list of offered majors and found out..............

    I changed mine to what my degree says. If an employer ever asks to physically see it I don't want them getting mad at me and thinking I lied intentionally.

    Don't lie! I had it happen almost at every job opportunity! I had to either fax over my actual degree or actually take a picture of it and send it through email just to verify! Lying on any part of your resume is just going to cause issues; especially since, IT professionals deal with sensitive data all the time! Your integrity is gone and most likely your job.

    Just kidding obviously, but I find it strangely ironic that someone who's alias is DB Cooper, would be giving advice on not doing things that would shame your family. :p

    QHalo, are you disrespecting my family name?? icon_cool.gif

    @HLRS,

    Please only ask questions that YOU have, not what some 'friend' might have. When you make the 'my friend' type comment, it makes it nearly impossible for our members to assist because they never have access to the real person.

    This thread is now locked.

    If you took a moment to search the forum, you would have noticed there is a very long history of our members always recommending to tell the truth, period. I'd post the links, but I'm not doing your homework for you. If you are unfamiliar with the search feature however, I would be more than happy to help you to better understand the usefulness of the search feature.

    There have been several members in this thread and in your past threads who have offered you some friendly and free advice. Many of our members do not use English as their first language, so no one will complain about how you write. However, do make the effort to write your thoughts out as completely as possible, you will find the members here typically will stay active on a thread when the OP needs sincere assistance. This thread has derailed and I've therefore closed it, but left it online for now.

    ***I'll add you can Capitalize the word 'I' to show a little respect for yourself too.

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?
