I know about the SANS accreditation process standings because I have done 3 SANS work-study courses over the past year, and have spoken with them at length about their program. Additionally, I think people should be aware that the program will be accredited soon. Is there some sort of rivalry between WGU and SANS students that I should be aware of? Sorry to have offended you, lol.
I think WGU and SANS both offer quality programs, in different ways. Quite frankly, I already took a break from the WGU program because I could not fit in full time studies with my work schedule. However, I can knock out a week-long class with SANS and take the exam within a couple months without much difficulty, so have been considering their MS program instead since I now have the first 3 core courses already completed. In any case, I was just trying to shed some light on where the program stands in terms of accreditation for readers of the forum. -

Accreditation
The SANS Technology Institute, a subsidiary of the SANS Institute, is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Then I checked out the Middle States Commission Website and found that SANS is listed as being accredited:
Middle States Commission on Higher Education
The SANS magazine actually lists tuition as $1,250 per credit hour (not $1,000 which others have posted). It also states that "SANS master's degree programs in 2014 will be limited to 100 new students." -
