Interesting Job Qualifications

A recruiter sent me this job ad with the weirdest qualifications I have seen so far.:

Qualifications:·
· Ability to make inferences from data beyond following a set of detailed instructions
· Ability to infer intention from a limited sequence of data
· Ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies
· Comfort with ambiguous input data
· Ability to make probabilistic (“best guess”) judgment calls in situations with data insufficient for certain conclusions
· Attention to detail and data accuracy
· Strong complex/custom tool skills – comfortable using:
o Excel
o templated database queries with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
o command line tools
o other complex data-oriented custom enterprise tools
· Aptitude of working on multiple projects in parallel or simultaneously
· Experience working in abuse related (spam, phish, etc) customer issue management a plus
· Experience working in non-phone complex customer issue response management a plus. Candidates must possess Tier 2 Customer support abilities.
· Experience of doing repetitive work for long time.
· Possession of or previously held Government Security clearance preferred
· 4 year college degree required

It sounds like a fun job and I am following up on it, but I just wanted to share.

Sounds like someone was trying to sound smart and make everything overly complicated. Just my opinion though :)

Nice. The qualifications sound vague but if it's something you can do and it pays well, I'd give it a shot

This position is dedicated to account grading for metrics, model building, identifying qualitative patterns...
Based on this, requirements sound reasonable for analytical work, it is probably part of the scientific lingo used in these analysts' daily work.

I think dmoore has it, intel work at Boeing or something. None the less, sounds like fun (apart from the long hours of repetitive tasks)!
