Hi all,
So I applied for a position a few months ago for the City's utilities company and I went through the motions of answering a questionnaire and everything and just today I received an email stating that I had been selected to take a test for the IT Support Specialist position. Does anybody have any idea what kind of test this could be? What sort of things they might ask? I'm just curious, I really want to nail this one because this would be an absolute ideal position to have being its a government job which is extremely stable and comes with very good benefits.

Devilry Member Posts: 668I think a lot of government agencies (fed, state, local) do a type of competence and personality type test. I may be way off here, but I heard from some buddies they did this working at a county agency. Have you asked them what the test is about? I think its a reasonable question.
If its a technical test, probably wont be too hard either. -

They usually are some technical questions and can also have a personality type test attached to it. These are used to rank the applicants by score and then they interview from the top of the list down. Their should be some laws concerning these tests ie in NJ the top 3 must be interviewed and qualified veterans, no matter the score, are ranked 1st.
