Hey guys,
Please forgive me for how long this post is, I am working on the TrainSignal 70-640 (R2) CBT and they did not seem to go over something right, or did not address something about networking in VMWare workstation and I cannot seem to get it right. Any help would be very much appreciated.
My issue is that I cannot get my replica DC/DNS server to ping 8.8.8.8 or external internet, or my win7 client. Setup is as follows:
VMWare workstation with NAT network type.
DC1:
IP: 192.168.0.201
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default: 192.168.0.1
DNS 1: 192.168.0.201
DNS 2: 192.168.0.202
DNS Forwarding active going to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
DC2:
IP: 192.168.0.202
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default: 192.168.0.1
DNS 1: 192.168.0.202
DNS2: 192.168.0.201
DNS Forwarding active going to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Client1 (Win7 Ent)
IP: 192.168.0.203
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default: 192.168.0.1
DNS 1: 192.168.0.201
DNS 2: 192.168.0.202
My Router settings are:

Let me know if any additional info is helpful. Thanks again in advance.

The picture of your router settings is pretty tiny and I couldn't make out the settings. You might want to type them in manually.
Can DC1, DC2, and Client1 all ping each other? Are both DC2 and Client1 able to ping 192.168.0.1? How about your router's LAN address? -
Devilry Member Posts: 668Just a quick update, I appreciate you trying to help me but by luck I did an cmd of delete 0.0.0.0 (it kept showing up today) and all of a sudden it started working again... weird.. hopefully I can recreate later and figure out a proper way to fix!
