What a strange turn in events

Never really got 'on' with my current job - big corporate - not easy as a geek who has a 'let's get it done' mentality .. Plus a lot of on-call, overtime and the lot (felt like working as overpaid first line agent).
So I lined up a few interviews and the day I have one of the most promising ones in a while, I am being called into a meeting with the head of technology (meaning I'll be late for the interview - eek).
What does he tell me ? I am being pulled from our team and be part of our new global IT Architect and Engineering team (global meaning EMEA / Asia etc.) where I'll be mostly responsible for the design of solutions, such as VDI and the sorts.
And that even though I haven't even passed my probation yet (which I guess I just did).
Needless to say I am well excited and happily missed my interview (10 messages on voice mail tells a story lol).

Doesn't mean I am getting more money (I think) but job satisfaction (and no on-call) is more important than anything really. My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

Job satisfaction means a lot. If you have to think about it, then more the likely it's not a satisfying positionIn order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
