Xp to windows 7

Hi. I've studied and passed the xp exam. Would there be many differences between xp and 7 because I've used windows 7 alot at work and find it pretty much the same. Only thing I still can't figure out is stop sharing a folder for some reason. Only way around this for me was to block who I knew would access the folder and I didn't want them to.
Sorry prob not alot of info but Iay take the exam one day for fun after passing the server 2003 exams. Just want to know if there are more differences that I don't know about!

Yes there are differences between the two. With the windows xp exam your focus was on RIS and security templates and permissions. On the windows 7 exam you focus will be on WDS, ImageX, DISM, IPv6, Bitlocker, Branchcache, GPO's (new ones from XP as well). There are plenty more as well. If you deal with what I have listed for the windows 7 exam on a regular basis you might be ok but if not then you will need to study.

And don't forget AppLocker and DirectAccess and USMT. And although Backup & Restore on XP resembles its counterpart on Win7, it was entirely rewritten for Vista -- even the command line program has changed. Edition names have changed, as have minimum hardware requirements. It is fair to say Win7 has more similarities to Vista than XP.

Windows 7 is about 85% Windows Vista. Most of the changes are in the GUI and UAC security. Supposedly, there are more code changes going from baseline Windows XP to WinXP SP2 than there are from Win7 to WinVista. That would explain how MS got Win7 out so fast. How much of Windows 8 is actually Win7/Vista? Probably quite a lot too.
