I see what you did there. Throw a random two year old in the picture and it makes the setup look even bigger than it already is. Well played sir...well played -
kriscamaro68 Member Posts: 1,186 ■■■■■■■□□□Ok I finally finished up tonight so here are the pics. Not that great with my cell phone. You get bonus points if you can tell me what movie is playing on my monitor.
So now that I am not as tired I will give some info on my setup.
My main computer is a corei7 920 oc'd to 3.8ghz with 12gb of ram and 2 120gb ssd's and 500gb western dig black. Video is ati 5850 and a 850 watt corsair PS. It is powering the 2 24" 1920x1200 monitors in the center and the 32" lcd tv that is playing the movies.
Server 1 the screen to the right of the 24" is running an amd phenom 955 x4 with 8gb of ram and a 60gb ssd.
Server 2 is sitting on top of server 1 and is running a q6700 with 8gb of ram and a 120gb ssd and a 500gb WD black and they are both hooked up to a 22" acer.
On the far left is server 3 and is running a q9550 with 16gb of ram and a 240gb ssd and 500gb WD black.
just to the left of server 3 is server 4 and is running a athlon 3800+ with 2gb of ram and 2x120gb sata raid.
These are both hooked up to a 22" samsung.
to the right of the 32" tv is my 2 work laptops which is a Dell 6410 corei5 with 4gb of ram and a Dell XPS13 with corei5 and 4gb as well.
Below the laptops are hp workstations. 1 running dual xeon cpu's with 8gb of ram and the other is a p4 with 2gb of ram. I don't really use those very often.
All servers are running Sever08R2 with the exception of server 4 which runs Backtrack 5.
My network consists of 5 static ip's from my isp with 2 gigabit home routers for 2 of the static ip's and my lab which is everything in my office runs a little nortel 1010 box that I upgraded the cpu and CF card on and now runs pfsense as my firewall. That feeds into my 16 port gigabit dell powerconnect switch. DNS and DHCP is provided by Server08R2/server1. I also have a cisco 1250 ABGN wireless access point upstairs.
There is still my upstairs tv area and my wifes office but those arent as cool so I won't mention them. Plus my wife has a mac -

Bonus points? Lol. You're playing "Sneakers"? -
tpatt100 Member Posts: 2,991 ■■■■■■■■■□I cleaned up our computer room at home. It was crowded and junky looking. Some of the office setups really want me to do some more decorating though. Love the use of light fixtures.

The Asus 25.5" in the middle is mine. The HP 24" on both sides I had to give back to the company when I quit. All 3 were 1920x1200.
Now I have the Asus 25.5" @ 1920x1200 with a Samsung 22" @ 1920x1080 and my Lenovo W520 laptop with 15.4" @ 1920x1080 to the right of it. Not nearly as nice, but I'm not home enough to care these days. -

mapletune Member Posts: 316I wish I saw this before I bought the NeoFlex arms. Amazon.com: Quad LCD Monitor stand Fully adjustable New: Electronics
Ergotrons are damn awesome. If I had the money, I'd go for the Ergotron LX Dual Side-by-Side Arm... Instead, I have something like in the Amazon link you posted.
The problem with these height-fixed arms... is exactly that, it's a problem, lol~ =p Ergotron or other brands with pneumatic height-adjusting arms are a joy to use because you can move the monitor MUCH MUCH easier.
Everything else is meant to serve more as a static fixture. Even pulling the monitor towards or away from you is cumbersome, and as I mentioned on and on, if you want to adjust height, you'll have to break out the tools.
With pneumatic arms, everything swivels effortlessly.
You are golden with your Neo-Flex, trust me!Studying: vmware, CompTIA Linux+, Storage+ or EMCISA

paul78 Member Posts: 3,016 ■■■■■■■■■■Oh - don't get me wrong, I like my NeoFlex. But I have two single-arm mounts which I am replacing with the quad. I'll have to find a re-use for the NeoFlex mounts.
The Ergotron dual stacking arms are $350 a piece. And the Ergotron quad doesn't is actually not as good (no articulating arms). I simply couldn't justify spending $700 for a quad setup when the Sewell quad arm is only $85. -
inscom.brigade Member Posts: 400 ■■■□□□□□□□This is such an Awesome thread, I love all your setups, mine is old i hope to get some new gear soon. My first multi monitors was back on windows 95, it was much harder to do then.

kj0 Member Posts: 767Here was mine at work for a while.
The very left iMac I was actually building a new image on and couldn't deploy it to the room I needed to until holidays. I then reverted back just to the others, and as of Thursday, I now only have an iMac with a miniDP to the right Dell monitor and then remote dektop on that to the computer under my desk. (I have to use the Windows machine as we aren't running anything more than Exchange 2003 and I can't stand Entourage or OWA. - Once we upgrade that, it will just be the iMac and Dell monitor)
I'll grab a photo of my new set up on Monday. -
kj0 Member Posts: 767I have now my updated desk at work with my iMac remoting to a windows machine for exchange.
And I have also attached my current home set up, That's it while studying DNS> -
Essendon Member Posts: 4,546 ■■■■■■■■■■Nice one kj0, but tell us honestly - did you unclutter the desk for the pictures or is it always like that?
-
kj0 Member Posts: 767Honestly. the only thing I did for the picture was minimise everything (didn't want you to catch me watching Morning Sunrise) and plug in my iPad. If I took it on friday, there was a bunch of laptops to my left that I was imaging. I can't stand clutter.
it's bad enough at home. That's my half of the desk, the otherside is my wife's. So not much room, and I have another monitor on the table behind me to go there as well.... :S
