I have a client that is in NYC. The person who designed the new network screwed up big time (not me) and now they have 24 hours to get the wireless working. 6 APs and one controller. The AP's are the lightweight type so they don't require much in configuration but I can't get the controller to find them. I need someone onsite tomorrow that could reconfigure their network properly and get the AP's online. Message me if you're available and I will get you in touch with the site contact. I'll be able to provide backend support and planning from MN. Thanks.

themagicone Member Posts: 674Their engineer screwed up that's the problem. The engineer had them buy LWAP's with out the proper config on the controller. Lightweight AP's need special routing to find the controller and pull config, they are unable to be manually configured. I got connected with it through a friend of a friend. Just trying to help out but being 1000 miles away it makes it a tad difficult.Courses Completed at WGU: JIT2, LYT2, TFT2, SJT2, BFC2, TGT2, FXT2

hiddenknight821 Member Posts: 1,209 ■■■■■■□□□□That's ridiculous. I would expect the engineer to do a better job, especially when you are helping him with the configurations. Looks like he's going to cost his employer more money hiring local wireless specialist in such short notice.
