Cisco 3750 x - Vlan Routing

Hi there,
New to the forum and hopefully not too much of a challenging first question.
I am a little out of my depth at work and have been thrown in to configure 3 Cisco 3750 x's with VLAN's. I have little Cisco experience but that unfortunately makes it more than everyone else here. This needs to be sorted fairly soon and I am pulling my hair out looking for a solution.
So here is what I have:
3 X Cisco 3750 x's
All connected via Stackwise cables
I have so far configured 3 VLAN's:
VLAN 20 - Ports 1-24 on switches 1 & 2
VLAN 40 - Ports 24-48 on switches 1 & 2
VLAN 60 - Ports 1-48 on switch 3
I now need VLAN 40 to be able to communicate with VLAN 60. How do I configure this?
I have been googling and found that IP routing may need to be enabled.
Also there is no router involved in this scenario, all devices will have static IP's with no default gateways or if they do it will be to a device not a router.
Please help a guy out! I am learning fast but it seems not fast enough for my employer.

Zartanasaurus Member Posts: 2,008 ■■■■■■■■■□Your 3750 will be your router after you enable IP routing. PCs should point to the VLAN interface for their VLAN for the default gateway.Currently reading:

In order to use the layer 3 functionality, you need to enable ip routing on the switch. This allows you to route between the SVIs and VLANs.
As Zartan said, the PCs should be on L2 switch interfaces. -
