Configure R1 as a Frame-Relay switch.
In this lab R1 will be configured as a Frame-relay switch so no IP address is required.
Turn on Frame-Relay switching feature on R1:
R1(config)#frame-relay switching
When I enter this command, I receive an error.
R1(config)#frame-relay switching
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
What am I am missing? Is there a pre-req command that is required for this to work?

oli356 Member Posts: 364Just loaded a 3600 series router on GNS3, the command frame-relay switching worked fine for me without any pre-req commands.
Was fine also with my 1760's when I did it a few weeks ago.. I had followed this: http://www.thebryantadvantage.com/Frame%20Relay%20Switch.htm
Hmm.Lab:
Combination of GNS3 and Cisco equipment if required. -

When you want to know why an IOS command isn't working, it helps to specify the router model and IOS version. Actually, with those two pieces of info in hand, you can go straight to Cisco.com, click on Support, and get your answer 98% of the time.
