SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS


· All India Rank 3644 among 5 lakh students in JEE 2009
· Selected among top 1% of about 10 lakh students who appeared for All India engineering entrance exam (AIEEE 2009)

PRACTICAL TRAINING


Training at PERI India (May- July ’12)

· PERI- a German based System Formwork design company
· Calculated Bill of Quantity for various live project which were undertaken by PERI, and that is used for estimation of total cost of project e.g. Sikka dream project, Noida ; Unitech grand , Noida
· Visited many high rise construction site, analyzed formwork procedure to achieve low pouring cycle, e.g. Kohinoor Square, Mumbai , World One tower , Mumbai, Marathon Futurex, Mumbai
· Assembled various formwork systems and climbing systems at the yard which gives a proper idea how the formwork would look on the site
· CAD design- designed various wall, column and slab formwork on PERICAD, a customized software developed by PERI on CAD platform.
· Learned different step of formwork designing and on-site factors that affect it.

Training at Indian Railways (Dec ’11)

• Training in Construction Organization unit under the guidance of senior section engineers & learned about work culture of organization and project management.
• Learned about construction of railway bridges at different geographical location as on river,
• Studied the drawings and plan view of railway bridges with embankments and cut slopes

• Learned methodology for the construction of pre-stressed I-girder
• Learned about NDT of concrete girders, pile foundation and launching of girders

B.Tech Project (Aug’12- working)

· Under the Guidance of Prof. S.L. Dhingra
· Working on Transportation design by MxRoad software.

Soil Nailing for stabilisation of steep slopes near railway tracks (May-Jun’10)

· Guided by Prof. Amit Prashant of Indian Institute of technology, Kanpur
· Prepared a set of guidelines regarding Design of nailed soil slope. It prescribes stepwise Construction procedure of nailed slope, construction equipment required to install a Soil nail, and materials used in soil nailing. Along with necessity of soil nailing and provides on-site description of soil nail projects
· It is based on geotechnical investigation and laboratory testing of soil regarding internal failure mode, drainage, design of nailed soil slopes and seismic effect on stability of soil
· Final report was submitted to Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow

Unique ID Project (Sep-Nov ’09)

· Guided by Prof. Dr. Deepak. B. Phatak
· Team member of Interface and Basic Database Development Team for Institute Scale prototype of Unique ID project going on in India
· Programming Language used C++ , Operating System – Linux
· It uses fingerprints as unique id for each person. Flexibility and design of the project was done so as mass scaling can be done with ease. It is expected as of now to be useful for attendances, lab access.
POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY


Maintenance councillor of Hostel-5 (July’11- Apr’12)

· Elected by more than 400 inmates of hostel for managing the issues of maintenance
· Introduced the Biometric System (a first in the institute) in the Mess and Pool room to improve accountability and ease of access
· Processed the Construction of Basketball court in the hostel, for which many past councils have tried
· Installed Washing machines and geysers in each block of the hostel
· Improved the ambience of pool room by executing first of a kind Photography wall art
· Got Organizational color for the exemplary work throughout the tenure

Maintenance secretary of Hostel-5 (Jul ’10-Apr ’11)

· Coordinated with hostel council in establishment of the new Gym room, Music room, Tech room, washing room
· Successfully Started Cycle pool for the first time in any hostel of IIT Bombay
· Ensured T5 tube light installation in corridors and each room
· Introduced complaint book for the proper catalog of complaints from students
· Achieved Bathroom Renovation with a total budget of 7 million , approved by Institute

Worked as Coordinator in Competition and Informal, Techfest (Sep’10-Jan’11)

· Member of organizing team for Sin Street, Full Throttle, an IC engine car competition which has participation of more than 350 teams
· Made contact with previous years participants , universities and encouraged them for participation
· Accomplished the budget and other requirements of the event
· Guided the preparation and design of racing arena

Worked as Organiser in Gaming Zone, Techfest (Jan’10)

· Organised online gaming event in which several teams competes in NFS, DOTA, CS , FIFA
· Regulated audience and participants throughout three days of the festival

· Designed and fabricated a RC car for competition held by Technic club and secured 4^th position.
· Judged RC cars on the basis of Implementability and problem statement given, for the Full Throttle event of Techfest

· Was a National Cadet Corp cadet and obtained A grade in 'B' Certificate Examination
· Participated in various inter hostel events like Football, Basketball, TT, Cross country
