What are your uses for old hardware/software?

Of course we've all seen the Mac turned into an aquarium, the AOL floppies used to make tables, chairs, cd's used for coasters. We recently came across some old laptop memory that was marked defective, and turned it into keychains. What do you do with your stuff that can no longer be utilized?

i took an old dell system (pentinum D CPU) and made it my home router. but since i just finished the CCNA i want to swap that with a Cisco router. I'm trying to find an 1841 on ebay cheap

I used an old box as a media server to stream to my PS3. Once that died though, I picked up a WDTV for $100. Best $100 I have ever spent.

i've seen those WDTVs before, personally i still like boxee box the best for set top players my gf lovers ours.
