    4,8,128

    4 Hexidecimal.
    8 Groups.
    128 Bit

    The 128 is a little more difficult to remember, but I find the 4/8 to be an easy rule.
    In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

    There are several things I would focus on such as the features of Ipv6.. Auto-config, plug and play, no broadcasts(replaced with multicasting). Identifying valid IPv6 addresses: X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X where X is a 16-bit hexadecimal field, 128 bits long(expressed in hexidecimal), single loopback address(0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001).

    Since 16 bits are reserved for the local portion of subnets, in an IPv6 network it is possible to generate 65536 subnets.

    6 to 4 tunneling, ISATAP tunneling, and teredo tunneling.

    Common IPV6 addresses:
    Loopback address - ::1
    Link-local address - FE80::/10
    Site-local address - FEC0::/10
    Global address - 2000::/3
    Multicast address - FF00::/8

    Ipv6 Multicast addresses(well-known) -

    ff02::1 All nodes on the local network segment
    ff02::2 All routers on the local network segment
    ff02::5 OSPFv3 AllSPF routers
    ff02::6 OSPFv3 AllDR routers
    ff02::9 RIP routers
    ff02::a EIGRP routers

    The entire global-unicast IPv6 address range is from 2000::/128 to 3FFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF/128, which results in a total of over 42,535,295,865,117,307,932,921,825,928,971,000,000 usable addresses(only 1/8 of total ipv6 address space, IPv6 uses up to 128 bits which provides approximately 3.4 * 1038 addresses).

    That is just some of the basics I doubt the CCNA cert will have more than a few questions regarding Ipv6. Good luck.
