Any input on cost of living and IT jobs in Tallahassee, FL?

Anyone live here that can provide some feedback on cost of living and IT jobs in Tallahassee? Thinking of moving from Orlando, FL due to the lack of jobs here. It is just dead and I know I gotta move out of FL for the good jobs, but I'd like to stay in FL if possible. I saw Tallahassee has some decent gigs but I'd like some feedback of someone who actually lives there before I make a decision. Thanks.

I went to FSU. Cost of living is within reason depending what area you want to live in. there are not too many jobs there. You either work for the state or the college. I loved living there, but had to move after college to find the jobs. I understand Orlando isn't the greatest place for IT jobs either. I was there for 6 months before I moved to Dallas. Unless you work for one of the major theme parks, that is about it for large datacenters. I'm the first to say the best thing I did was to move out of Florida and I had lived there all my life. There is another thread on here about Tampa jobs stating the same issue.

I've been doing a lot of research on jobs in the various parts of Florida in preparation for next summer. I can tell you that Tampa has far more IT job listings than Orlando (of course not all listings are valid as there are always shadow listings to satisfy requirements). Also check out Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
