Would like to know what is the difference between the following dynamic switchport modes
"Dynamic auto" and "Dynamic desirable"

auto + auto = no trunking
auto + desireable = trunking
desireable + desireable = trunking
Basically, it's like so: If the mode is auto, the port will respond to DTP negotiations but not initiate them. If the mode is desireable, the port will both respond to and initiate DTP negotiations.
This is my recollection. I make no guarantees as to its accuracy, but I'm usually right. -
