Resume to Salary Assistance for Texas relocation.

I'm looking to relocate to Texas, somewhere between Dallas, Austin and Houston. The My interviews are going very well however does anyone have any insight into ball park what I should consider a viable offer.

My resume is way to alphabet soup. I'm gonna restructure it this weekend and make it more "what have I accomplished with my time" instead of "i know this and this and this and that and this and uh." Although this junky resume gets me calls from 75% of the jobs I apply for or more, which is probably more due to the CCNP.

Shortly I will have a couple more VOIP mini certs and I'm hoping to take an F5 cert soon. F5 has been my break from CCIE studies :)

I prefer a structure more along the lines of

    Certifications:

Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP etc etc etc.
    CompTIA A+, Network
    Microsoft Certified Professional
    Linux Certified Professional

    Experience:
    Job Title, Place, Dates
Summary of duties blah, blah, blah
Worked with various technologies including xxxx, xxxx and xxxx switches as well as this software, that software, this program

    Next job

    Next job

I would probably leave off the tech school because the name sounds corny and it doesnt really add anything. Going more towards commas and paragraphs makes the resume shorter and forces reading more than just skimming your lists.
Graduated - WGU BS IT December 2011

I don't like the section where you listed out individual switches and routers. It just seems to me that if you're a Senior Network Engineer, it's implied that you've worked with those platform.

Do you have any projects that you've completed that you can list under the experience section? Actually, I'm curious to get TE's opinion on this. Do you guys list projects completed or day-to-day responsibilities? For the most part, I list projects I've completed (firewall upgrades/migration, network upgrade/migration, etc) rather than day-to-day responsibilities since if I were to list what I'm responsible for every day, at every job, my resume would be 4 pages long! Plus, "Designed and built out the network infrastructure for DR site" sounds so much better than "Maintained and troubleshoot L2/L3 issue"!!

Slightly off your question, but (if you're set on Texas) you might want to look at San Antonio, too. It's pretty large and has plenty of tech jobs.

on my resume I put my responsibilities and then a few bullets about the accomplishments ive been at each job. always steers up a good conversation about them in an interview.
