MS Exchange from linux client
I haven't seen many updates so im here to ask my fellow *nix users if they have found a way or have atleast heard anything about GUI Mail Client that can access mail from a MS Exchange server. I know that Evolution stopped worked up until Exchange 2003 but not for 2007 or 2010.
It doesn't seem like Evolution is being developed actively.

Exchange 2010 also supports the premium version of OWA through Firefox.

My issue with using Thunderbird is that it doesn't allow you to access your Exchange GAL or Calendaring.
OWA is getting better but is still a piece or c rap -
Claymoore Member Posts: 1,637That's IMAP for youIMAP4 IMAP4 offers offline and online access, but like POP3, IMAP4 doesn't offer advanced collaboration features such as calendaring, contacts, and tasks
If you want all the features of MAPI, perhaps you should use a MAPI client. A Win7 VM with Outlook is an option.
Are you running Exchange 2007 or 2010? OWA 2010 does everything you need, plus gives you the ability to administer many areas of Exchange. Several browsers are now supported without being forced to use OWA Lite. -
qwertyiop Member Posts: 725 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm running Exchange 2010, well unfortunately its hosted so I don't have much control over it.
I got Tasks and Calandering via the Lightning and Exchange 2007/2010 Calendar and Tasks Provider addons and got that working now all that I need is to get access to the GAL.
