Study Environment

Some quick questions:
  1. Do you have a study environment setup?
  2. Is it kept away from noise?
  3. Is it outside/inside your home?
  4. Do you struggle to study at home with interuptions?
Thanks. icon_thumright.gif

    1. Yes
    2. As much as possible
    3. Inside, in the finished basement
    4. Constantly.
When you go the extra mile, there's no traffic.

    1. Not really (basically the kitchen table at home...when I'm on the road it's any table in whatever hotel room I'm staying)
    2. I have to study at night after kids have gone to bed. Good thing is my wife is also studying towards her degree so I have a study partner of sorts and I don't have her bugging me for attention lol.
    3. See 1. above
    4. I get distracted easily so if the tv is on in the next room or the kids are playing I really struggle, I'm basically forced to study at night when all but the wife and I are awake.

    I study everywhere.

    1. Table outside at night is relaxing I prefer this.
    2. Bath tub.
    3. Garage where all my gears are setup I have a rack there, the gears and other crap has taken over.
    4. In the bed with an ipad.

I notice that studying at home has alot of distractions.

There's a Bose noise cancellation headphones for 300 $ I highly recommend it if you get easily distracted.

    1. I share my home office with my wife. Sucks. The price of not having a basement.
    2. Definitely not quiet, but I always wear noise isolating headphones and listen to soft music which solves the problem.
    3. Inside, one of the bedrooms
    4. Not much. Both wife and daughter know not to interrupt when I'm reading or watching CBTs
