Alright I was brushing up on some of the basics but I have a quick question on VLSM. If you jump down to step 5: determine network numbers for serial links at the end it talks about recombining sub-subnets. 00010000 = .16/30 through 00111100 = .60/30 it says they are recombined into 00010000 = .16/28. How did they determine this? Why is it .16 and why is it /28 instead of /30? Thanks for the help.
