CCNA Composite Passed!

xolowirthxolowirth Registered Users Posts: 3 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hey I've been coming here lately to read post and catch up on others experiences. Well I took the CCNA composite on 7th this month and failed with a 762.

Today I took it again with a 841 passing!

Wish it was higher but passing is passing! Now if only my boss gets me into the network spec spot he promised I'll be good.

Thanks to all the poster and the tech notes from you all helped very much!

Also I went through the CCNA academy and used packet tracer to get familiar with the configs.

(I can setup a network and troubleshoot one in a heartbeat, but you ask me where ftp is and I might get lost :D(General knowledge that you do not use much is harder to keep))

Congrats, you can always keep going over the material so that you feel you have the type of knowledge that you wish you could have achieve on the test, but a pass is a pass... a pass.. is a pass! Grats.

haha..so true indeed. this is why IT generalists who never specialize in anything (i.e server/systems, networking) should raise their heads up high for just being a generalist because there is so much to remember!!

You have the option of doing the CCNA as one exam (640-802) or in two parts - ICND1 (640-822) and ICND2 (640-816).

Reading through books is usually the greatest help when studying for the ICND1/2 or the composite exam.

First try is not the easiest thing. The exam is tricky and some answers all look like they work for the problem!
I Just used the netacad website for main study then I looked around here for technotes.

I also watched all the ccna videos on the learning network site which helped to understand. (The subnetting video was so easy vs what my instructor taught!)

Wowicon_exclaim.gificon_exclaim.gificon_exclaim.gif Did I read that right or are you an expert troubleshooter?! Was this due to your involvement with Cisco NetAcad or specific labs you did?!
