For the ACL question, it depends on what traffic you want to filter. For example, there is a router connecting several internal network segments to an external network, if:
1. you want to filter UDP traffic from the external network to all the internal network segments, you can apply the ACL for inbound traffic on the interface connected to the external network.
2. you want to filter all UDP traffic to one of the internal network segments, you can apply the ACL for outbound traffic on the interface connected to that network segment.KPLAB
