My firstweek of VMWare and Virtual Box
Where could Igood to find some VMware projects to do, this is what I have done this last week.
VMWare isvery cool!
This last week in my free time I loaded VMWare, and Oracle Virtual Box .
I installed:
On VMWare 9
XP
XP 64 bit
Server 2003
Windows 98
Windows 95
MS-DOS 6.22
Windows3.1.1
cd\windows <hahaha
I gotta go get Norton Commander from some were for my dos rig
WOW what fun!!!
I guess I will load up windows NT and then server 2000, and practice some server 2000 migration.
Win 95 was kind of tricky, But 98 went smoothly. I remember back when the original 98, you have so many driver issues. The 98 se 2 patch came out, but my pc just did not take kindly to it back then and went to sleep for days! I never had SE 2 until now.
It took me a short while to figure out how to install DOS and Win 3.1.1, but it was so fast not like back in the day, you did not know whether your machine was alive or dead,while loading a new OS sometimes.
I waited until I got the hang of VMWare before I switched over to ORACLE VirtualBox .

My equipment I have had for a long time it is all pretty old not muchto be proud of anymore.
tuition, PearsonVue, ProMetric, books, lab gear, new baby boy, moving x-country, eats up all my money.

Nice!! reminds me that I have a pretty decent Desktop at home which I need to reimage and start my VMWare Lab....Keep procrastinating and delaying it. I even downloaded the Server2012 & Windows 8 to play with and never got around to installing.
I have gone through that link, but it will be nice to put a config to a pic
