Unable to run Techexams CCNA simulator

When firing up the simulator I get this message:
No Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition v 1.4.2 support for APPLET!
I installed the JRE 7.07 and still got the same message while trying to run the simulator. Any hints on how to solve this issue? Many thanks.

You could try installing an earlier version of java.

This. I have ran into situations at work where a user was unable to run certain applications we use on the web (paid services), and the solution was downgrading java.
