Vmware Workstation 8 and AD_DNS

Hey everyone,
before i tell you what Im having problems with this is my network layout.
I have Vmware Workstation 8 installed on a desktop PC with in that I have ESXi5 installed and within the esxi host i have a VM thats my AD-DNS.
On the AD I cant browse the internet All lights and notifications look connected on the vm but i cant browse the internet I can ping for e.g googles ip address but i cant view webpages.
Does anybody whats happening here.?

What networking have you configured for the ESXi vm? Try changing it to bridged.
On another note, I'd have the DC outside the ESXi server. It should be another VM at the same hierarchical level as the ESXi server. That way you can join the ESXi server to your domain. Just a thought.

In Vmware Workstation I do have it on Bridged networking.

If you're able to ping outside your network but you aren't able to resolve addresses take a look at your DNS setup. Make sure you AD DNS is setup to either forward DNS requests or have root hints to pull from. It sounds more like a DNS issue than a VMware networking issue if pings are working fine.

In DNS, right click your server > properties and check the tab 'forwarders' and make sure you have set a public one, I.e. 8.8.8.8 (google).
