EIGRP Neighbour for every VLAN question

Two switches connected together with trunk. Both switches have the same 5 vlans with SVI's set up. VLANs 1 - 5

Both switches running EIGRP.

Question: when a I do a sh ip eigrp neighbours every VLAN shows as a neighbour? would it not be best to set passive interface default and just add no passive interface vlan 1, to save all the overhead?

Can anybody see any other reason why I would not do this? save on overhead, hello's etc?

check the network u are publishing in the eigrp process .

That is what I would do. I'd have a VLAN specifically for the EIGRP session and then have the 'user' VLANs passive.

As it's been said only have the networks which would have another network device talking EIGRP be set to not passive, any others I would set to passive.

My personal preference is to have a small /28-/30 size transit network between devices and have those be the only ones speaking an IGP.
