He's got this, 799 is good for a first attempt

I know you're trying to provide positive encouragement, but on this test there is no such thing as a 'good try'.
You've got to review what you know as well as spend extra time on what you don't know.

Sorry for the late reply-- i was sleeping for almost a day and half..and when i got up-i was partying :)..

hey all ..thanks and i appreciate each and every one of u .. i am very happy that i cleared my exams-- i had a 1 and half week gap in b.w the 1st and 2nd exam..

For the 2nd exam : I went thru the trainsignal bryant advan series again ( i did last time as well-but this time - i took notes -i wrote on a paper ) - i think writing on paper is very good..as i m able to retain it for a very very long time.. and since i write in my own words- i tend to understand it better

I went thru Jeremy CBT nuggets again ( i feel bryant videos has much more content than jeremy's video---but to start off i would advise everyone to go with jeremy--as its very light--and his jokes in b/w makes it worth while to watch and continue watchin it. In short- he makes it sound COOL ..

I went thru cisco press, exam cram book, few videos/labs on CLN..worked out the commands on the packet tracer and last but not the least the notes over here..and the positive posts on my thread -which made me carry on ..without losing hope.

I am happy to announce my results .I got "991" in my exam..

BIG THANKS TO ALL OF U HERE--Without the postive encouragements/tips over here from all over here-it would have been difficult to get a gr8 score.

thank u again.--I have booked my ICND2 on the 25th Oct-- Any tips on how to start off

You are wrong and the OP just proved it by destroying the test on his 2nd attempt. If you get a 799 score, that is good and reasoning for failure could be basic nerves or brain fart.

991 is awesome OP. Good job! ICND2 up next....

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

You came really close to passing. Just reschedule for a few weeks out and go over your weak areas. I'm sure you'll pass next time. Good luck! icon_thumright.gif

Just read thru the entire forum. CONGRATS on the pass man!
You need to update your certs on your profile now.:D

For last min tips on the ICND2 you probably should have posted a new thread tho, instead of piggybacking on your old one. Glad it didn't matter too much tho.

What are your plans for moving forward now? Switching jobs? Raise? Another cert?
