would EC2 + CBT nuggets & technotes be enough?

The Exam Cram 2 book is a lot cheaper then the MSPress book. Just wondering if I use that plus the CBT nuggets & the technotes from this site if I would be o.k.. I've been using XP pro at home now for a couple of years, got alot of experience with it so i'm thinking it would be all I need..

Got a lot of experience with administration of win xp pro, if not you would probably need an additional resource. If you are fully comfortable with Win xp pro, then it might be enough, but the Examcram2 is to condense for me. Planning on purchasing the MS book for further explanation of the critical topics covered in 70-270. Heard great reviews from it. The CBT Nuggets is fine also. Lastly, I would take some practice exams, to test your certainty, if you are ready. Hope that helps, best of luck.

Any idea if the MSpress book (old one with white cover) would be good enough? Because I already have that but I heard that the exam could have some questions on SP2 which the old book doesn't cover.. I'd hate to buy a new book just for this topic..

Since you have Exam Cram 2 also, the old MS Press book will be more than enough. Also, If you have SP2 installed on your xp pro computer, you will know enough about it to answer most SP2 questions and there aren't a lot of them on the exam.

I had the old 70-270 ms press book too, but bought the new one last week,
It seems to go into more detail than the old one and of course covers service pack 2, you would not have to buy this book just for service pack 2, as you could just read up on service pack 2 features on the net.
I would recommend the new book though as it has the complete e-book on cd too and xp pro 180 day trial on cd too, you also get 15% off the price of the exam :) oh and some more multi media tutorials.

    Hope this helps

I prefer the MS training kits for MS exams, but I think the combination above, combined with your experience, should be more than enough to pass the exam. Just make sure you try out the features and options covered in the study material in a home lab for example.

If you don't want to pick up an extra book just for SP2, you can always get the info directly from the source:

Any online book store that sells IT cert guides. Check the first book on the bottom of this page:

I feel like an idiot... I didn't notice that it was a book until I got my MSPress book yesterday. They're the same thing. icon_confused.gif

No, I just didn't know that the MSPress book and the "MCSA/MCSE Self-Pace Training Kit" were the same books.
