Planning on taking sec+ exam early Nov

Since it does help to obligate myself to a set date this is worth posting. I think one month is more than enough and I'm already 3 chapters into to Daril's book. A month should be more than a enough time. I also reserve the right the take it sooner if I want to.

Setting a goal with a deadline is a great path to success for many people. For example a goal like "I will take and pass the Security+ exam by November 5th or sooner" is an excellent way to set a goal. And then letting others know your goal helps cement it into your mind.

Good luck on taking and passing this exam by early November or sooner.

Just don't take this test lightly. You may want to give yourself more than a month to prepare for it. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with your plan, but only that there's nothing wrong with taking a little extra time to do things.

While I agree that this test shouldn't be taken lightly, I also know many people take and pass the exam in less than a month using the book you're using. I've even read some reviews on Amazon where people read the book in a weekend and passed the test the next week.

@draught, you're even a little ahead of the game having taken and passed the Network+ exam about a week ago.

For me, given the choice of completing something sooner or completing something later, I'd choose sooner.
