View website visits remotely?

Upper management wants me to 'investigate' non-business usage of company issued laptops. They are worried of time visited on sites not related to the job. Which I know is not possible without third party monitoring. What I would like to do at the bare minimum is view the sites visited; remotely, as this is to be confedential. I have done this before with index.dat on XP systems, but most of these are now Win7, which from my understanding does not have index.dat. Input, advise anyone?

Unfortunately this will only help me if I was actively scanning. Im looking to see what has already been visited; much like index.dat would list. Thanks anyway
