Encryption help
I take my test tomorrow, and seem to be struggling understanding where certain encryption's are used, such as RC6, AES( this is giving me fits because of EAS) 3DES and whether theyre used in email or standard encryption. Anyone have an easy ways of remembering it to make it stick or suggestions on what I should know for the exam? Not sure if i'm really explaining it well, hope it somewhat makes sense

* How Asymmetric encryption is used.
** Public and private keys
** Encrypting and Signing emails
** Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
* Hashing algorithms: MD5, SHA and RIPEMD
I'd write some more, but I'm at work atm... -

Security+ Encryption: Security+ Encryption - YouTube
Security+ Hashing: Security+ Hashing - YouTube
Security+ Digital Signatures: Security+ Digital Signatures - YouTube
Security+ HTTPS and SSL: Security+ HTTPS and SSL - YouTube
The videos are older but they cover the relevant material needed for the current Security+ exam.
Good luck. -
