To get out of NOC

Hi all.
I stared my career with a job in App-support (was forced to take the job because of poor academics) , i was there for about an year .started learning Linux during free time and got an RHCE as well . An year back i got a offer from a company as NOC engg, was very excited and took the offer as they told me all server are linux and many people told NOC is the place to start to get a career as Linux SA ,but it has really not turned out the way i was expecting it to be , most of the time i will be opening/closing bugs and escalating the alerts what we get.Managed to learn the monitoring tool ( nagios ) and bit of puppet in free time .so please advice me what i should be doing to get proper SA kind of work
