in CCNA & CCENT
I saw a post on here about this, only they were using GNS3 on the Ubuntu OS. But I want to do this with Windows 7
I know you run it through the cloud. I am wondering what hardware do I need?
Any Special cables or a Special network card I need to install in my desktop to communicate with the switch?
I want use the 2950 switch and this is only for the CCNA.
I'm just trying to make up for the lack of a real switch in GNS3.
If anyone has done this before, please let me know what I need thanks.

You shouldn't need any extra hardware for a single connection, but a lot of people use usb ethernet adapters to increase the amount of NICs to connect multiple switches. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -

Place a cloud in GNS3, and then use its properties to select the NIC you want it to connect with. Piece of cake.Currently PursuingWGU (BS in IT Network Administration) - 52%| CCIE:Voice Written - 0% (0/200 Hours)mikej412 wrote:Cisco Networking isn't just a job, it's a Lifestyle.
