Just a quick intro post to say I'm currently studying for the 70-640 and found your site by virtue of the Google and signed up.
Training materials:
Official Microsoft exam book R2
CBT nugget videos
Labs (Home setup and work environment)
Time, lots of time.
So far I'm five chapters in, while not getting them 100% right, just powering through to get an overall feel, some parts I know, some I don't. Will do in-depth look on the second read through with lab time\practice exams then book the exam.
That's the plan anyway.

Sounds like a good plan. This exam is pretty broad in material, so take your time. I read through 3 books for this one, more than once. -
_calvin_ Member Posts: 19 ■■■□□□□□□□I just failed the test because I just focused on the book and cbt nuggets and felt it I was passing the practice exams and breezing through the labs then I was good. Trust me the exam goes into much greater detail then the book and the videos. I found this forum by google too and I now know that the book is not enough. Look up the 640 sticky here, it has some good resources. I'll be jumping back on the horse soon

sizeon Member Posts: 321really? no book?
Yup. I am not a big fan of books since they tend to overload you with info and always take a **** load of pages just to explain a simple concept. The same goes for CCNA. -
Lunchbocks Member Posts: 319 ■■■■□□□□□□Good luck on your studies. It looks like you are using the right materials to help you pass this exam. I would only recommend using Technet as well. I used Technet while studying, and then when I would take a practice test, I would look up the information on the questions I was having trouble with on Technet. I do believe it helped me pass.Degree: Liberty University - B.S Computer Science (In Progress)
