Resume Critique - It's about that time

Hello Ladies and Gents,
After slaving away as a Desktop Support Technician, I've finally came to the realization that it's about time for me to start putting my resume out there and see what kind of interest it garners for NOC Technician positions. Before I start applying, I thought I would stop by TE to get any pointers/tips you all could offer me.

I appreciate the help.

I would start with a bullet'ed profile to give a quick overview of yourself, your skills/proficiencies, and maybe what you're interested in.

For overall flow I would go
    Contact Info
    Profile
    Experience
    Education & Certs
    Technical Qualifications

For technical qualifications, comma delimit the related skills. It looks like you are trying to fluff lines but there is a lot of white space.

Also, you should put more information about your current position and throw in some buzz words. What common technician processes do you automate? What VOIP type problems do you troubleshoot? I like using the PAR (Problem-Action-Result) format to build depth through experience: Write a Better Resume with the P-A-R Format | Piton Inc.

    For example:
Developed C# program to automate escalation of SLA-determined overdue technician work orders, resulting in quicker response time and increased managerial awareness

Thanks for the tips lsu! I've taken your advice and revised it once more. I would be grateful if you (or anyone else browsing this thread) could offer any other tips or insight that you may have.

Be careful about what you put on you resume in regards to technical qualifications. Do not fluff, because you may be called out in an interview and eviscerated as a result.

I also notice a few typos here and there. Such as under EXPERIENCE with a VIOP and spaces between commas. I believe it should be VoIP.

Another thing to consider is the use of tenses with a job you presently hold and the use of active versus passive voice. You use a mixed bag and sometimes this is easier said than done. My example is far from perfect but to help give you an idea...

Your first bullet under experience, simply wonderful experience but it needs more oomph.

Features include one-click solution for employees to update their own location which helps to maintain accuracy of employee relocation within the company and any additional enhancements to the overall floor plan.

There is a resume example of a recent forum member completed by Iris. You may want to try that format as well.

Appreciate the helpful tips Krones! This is why I love TE!

The technical qualifications: I understand, I've read many horror stories on here from hiring managers about this same situation. I am pretty confident in my knowledge of all the subjects listed. I may not be an expert, but for the level of job I'm trying to obtain, I don't think I will be caught off gaurd.

Good eye on the typos, correcting them as I type.

Iris's format looks much cleaner and easier to scan. I think I'll go ahead and tailor my resume to it's format.

Again thanks for all the help everyone!
