I need help understanding the MCSA prerequisites track

Could somebody tell me what 3 exams I can take to become MCSA 2003, and does security + or network+ counts as elective. I been going to different sites, and I have been getting different results each time. Help is needed. Thanks

Ok, I'm not an expert on this but reading the ultimate source (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcsa/windows2003/) again I will summarize what you need:

- 3 Core exams (typically 70-270, 70-290 and 70-291)
- 1 Elective (either another 70-xxx, A+ AND Network+, A+ AND Server+, Security+)

As you have Sec+ you obviously "only" need to go through the 3 core exams.

Once you have completed the MCSA you could upgrade it to an MCSA:Security by passing 70-299.

Yes, it's easiest to do 70-270, 70-290, and 70-291 in that order. Each one builds on topics covered in the previous one, XP (70-270) lays out the framework that Server (70-290) is built on, and the Server topics cover the basics which help make the infrastructure (70-291) exam a little easier (not by much, though).
