VCP510 Passed

Sat the exam today and passed with a 394. Tough test indeed, but very pleased with the results.

Study resources include:
VCP5 Certification Guide - Bill Ferguson
Mastering vSphere 5 - Scott Lowe

Multiple online resources, but mainly:
VMware Certified Professional 5 » ValCo Labs
| VCP-5

All of the posts stating to follow and check off items on the blueprint are accurate and should be a must before sitting the exam. I also have daily hands-on experience at work and managed the vSphere 5.0 upgrade from 4.1 which helped a lot as well. A small lab at home to play with features we don't utilize in the office.

Next up include SCCM 2012 (70-243; leading the upgrade from 2007 early in 2013 at work) and am very interested in the VCAP-DCA5 (this will be a long study process).

    Great job.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

emmm, I had a small question. Its been like 30 hours after the exam, the coffee has worn out and I am checking my emails every hour for some sort of email from Vmware but nothing has come yet.

Anyone have a clue when you get an email from Vmware or confirm your address?

Congrats. It'll take about 3 week for your transcript at vmware to update. There will be a task for you to complete.
