IBM actually makes their AIX documentation available online. That is probably the best reference.
v6.1 - Help - AIX 6.1 Information Center
v7.1 - Help - AIX 7.1 Information Center
Also - get familiar with the IBM Redbooks - that's the reference most IBM folks use - IBM Redbooks
