Last night I received an email asking if I would be available for an interview this weekend. This was for a job ad I replied to on craigs list a few weeks ago and have since returned to working in restaurants because nothing else seemed to be panning out. The job was listed as a repair tech and after receiving the email about the interview I finally had a company name. It is a repair shop that works on computers, phones, and game systems. My goal is to end up getting into networking. Obviously this does nothing for networking but I am just wondering if this would be a viable entry into IT even though I am sure it is going to be more focused on fixing phones.

It surely beats working in a restaurant!
Get more experience and move on.

I agree. It gets you experience and definitely more so than in restaurants. After some time it should be easier to move on.

You've gotta start somewhere. My first gig was at mom & pop repair shop and I learned a lot there. Today I'm a systems engineer for a large MSP. As long as you're serious about learning and stay focused, you can do anything.
