Work Travel

For those that work for companies with multiple locations, how often to you travel to them?

My present company has 4 US locations, and I travel to them once every 12 to 18 months.

We have 6 locations spread out pretty well across the US. I've traveled to SF, NY and Arkansas. I go about once a year.

Most of our offices are within a few hundred miles, so it makes it easier to go more often. I've still yet to go to the majority of them but that will be changing very soon.

I travel around 75% of the time, but most of that is to customer sites. Travel to company locations... lets see, I've made a total of 8 trips to 4 difference offices in the last 8 months.

I have 13 offices in MN/WI. Thank goodness the majority of them are within the twin cities area. I do get out to them a few times a month. Its when I have to run up north, that is an all day project. Leaving at 530am to be there by 8. Usually done by noon unless its something really major.

I support 1 main office and 6 remote offices, two of which are in Canada. I visit each site about four times a month, depending on projects.

I am looking to move into a position that requires little to no travel..

We have offices all over the world where I work. I came back to the US the beggining of October from a 3 week trip to Vietnam. That was my only trip for the year though. My collegues however go more often. Some are once every other month or more and each trip is about 2 weeks in a foreign country. It's fun at first but after being away that long I start to miss my family and the US.

I was suppose to travel 1 week a month.

But it has turned into about 1 week every 6 months, usually from Montreal to Boston.

We have sites across America, was suppose to visit most of them however it never happened.
