Passed my 220-702 today
I passed the Practical portion today. Another class down for WGU. I used only the Exam Cram book and studied it for about a month. I took the Essentials after about 3 weeks and went on vacation for a week and then came back and studied for a week and passed the Practical this morning. Off to fully concentrate on my CCENT now.

Was just studying the exam cram difficult to you? As opposed to using a diff book that explained things more? I'm currently at a crossroads trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to attack this beast called the CompTIA A+, study-wise.Goals for 2018:

Yes. I am fully A+ certified now.
It wasn't too difficult, but I have many years of tinkering and fixing and repairing computers on the side. Not that extensive, but I had a pretty good grasp of about 50% of the concepts. The exam cram just got rid of the fluff for me and got to the point. If you don't have much experience building and repairing pc's I would suggest the Mike Meyers book, or you could try his A+ certification passport. If you are decently knowledgeable about fixing pc's then I would shoot for the exam cram to study. You can always supplement any of the studying methods with free online videos, such as professor messer. Hope that helped some and good luck.WGU B.S.
