Foreign Language Certifications

Hi all,

after having gathered a bunch of IT certs I was wondering if there are any well respected certifications out there for foreign languages (English in my case).

Here on the german jobmarket good to excellent english skills are often on the requirements list so I would like to have something to proof my language skills.

I don't know of any major recognized certification for English. I think you'll have to look at more traditional types of education (diploma/degree). One thing you could check out is the Written English, English Vocabulary (free) and English Writing Exercise tests at Brainbench.com.
