2012 goals complete - ICND2 passed

Well that's it now for this year, I passed my ICND2 today on my second attempt. First time I didn't feel especially well prepared but I wanted to make an attempt at the exam before I started my new job. When I saw I scored 817 on my first attempt I was pretty upset, I couldn't have gotten much closer without passing! So I went away, took a week off and studied the areas I let myself down in for a couple of months. Labbed a lot, loads in fact. Went back in today and scored 917! So I'm a CCNA now and my 2012 goals are completed!

I think I'll take time off until after January, I've worked all year on certs so I feel like I deserve a bit of a break. I'm going to be reading my RHCSA/RHCE book at work but not bringing it home so I still count it as a break. My 2013 goals are RHCSA and RHCE so I'll knuckle down for those. For now, I'm pouring myself a scotch. Cheers!

    I don't like feeling like I should take a break! I feel like I'm wasting my time somehow, I could be spending time working on RHCSA or maybe CCNA: Sec. It feels very strange not having to work after I put the kids to bed, I need to keep telling myself that recharging my batteries is not a waste of time, haha!
