These admins usually have stout CS degrees or years of Linux/Unix experience, at the very least from the NOC. They are usually the more skilled of the two. Infact we had a CSR type service desk member a few months back get transitioned to the Wintel SA team. She builds shares, manages the domain and restarts services etc. I just recently went to lunch with her and she said the job wasn't to bad. (I've never seen that on the Linux/Unix side). Just saying.....

dave330i Member Posts: 2,091 ■■■■■■■■■■Time to update my 2013 plans. This was what I set out to accomplish this year.Plans for 2013: Rest of VCP5 & VCAP5 (Sort of like Pokemon. Gotta get them all.)
Been reasonably successful. Only missing VCAP-CIA & VCAP-DTA, but decided to change my plans. I'm going to push them out to next year and go for VCDX5-DCV & PMP.2018 Certification Goals: Maybe VMware Sales Cert

Kaayvan Registered Users Posts: 1 ■■■□□□□□□□I will complete my Cert 4 at TAFE within the next several weeks. All currently established plans do not account for anything that I pursue after Cert 4's completion.
Given my current situation, sitting any of the MTA exams do not cost me in terms of money. Despite this, I doubt I'll pursue them into the next half of the year. As it is...
Goals:
- CCENT
- MTA: OS, Networking, S
- Successfully complete Cert 4/TAFE -
chX Member Posts: 100 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm hoping to complete CCNP this year. If I do that before the end of the year, I'll get started on CCNA: Data Centre or JNCIA.2019 Goals:

Master Of Puppets Member Posts: 1,210I'll be knocking out CCNP R&S sometime this year. It won't be much of a challenge but I haven't decided when exactly to take the exams.Yes, I am a criminal. Dthompson7945 Registered Users Posts: 2 ■□□□□□□□□□Hello, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a while.
2013 so far:
CompTIA:
A+, N+
Cisco:
CCENT
CCNA(taking the exam on the 8th of july!)
Other then that, I'm currently enrolled in WGU.EDU's Information Security program, so I'll be doing my first year of that program... the only other cert I'm probably going to end up getting this year is my CIW Web Foundations... I'm hoping to really dig in to the meat and potatoes of this program next year. -
