in CCNA & CCENT
I am new here and was wondering if anyone other than myself has had trouble with sitting for CCNA exam and having to use a 9x16" eraseable board and broad marker. Had to wait (with my clock ticking) for exam admin to come and wipe my board. Seems to me sub-netting takes more space than boards allow...

optize Member Posts: 5 ■□□□□□□□□□I asked for multiple boards, they gave them to me. The marker they gave me was huge and was hard to write.

Alien Member Posts: 398First time i tried 640-801 i failed but i kept the marker with me and used to practice subnetting during my studies. The next time i went for the exam i had no trouble using the eraser board since i had gotten used to it.
Get yourself a marker and use it for your studies.
Good luck on your studies and upcoming exam.

jd_mattos Member Posts: 134You can request a pen and paper. It syas that either are ok for sitting the exams.
I HATE dry erase boards. I always ask for a pen and some paper, and they always give it to me.
If you are like me and hate the boards, just ask for a pen and some paper. -
johnnynodough Member Posts: 634Some testing centers are bastards and dont know the correct policies, paper and pen is acceptable as the last poster said, but call ahead and make sure they will give them to you, and if not, choose a testing center that will. I know people that were denied paper and pen and choose one that would.Go Hawks - 7 and 2

dwarfstar Member Posts: 3 ■□□□□□□□□□I requested pencil and scratch paper and was refused. Then I asked for a couple of boards and was refused. Called Vue to complain and they told me 'only' dry erase and marker was policy now!

jd_mattos Member Posts: 134I go to a Prometric site, because that is all we have in our little town.
But I did use a Vue center up by San Francisco and they gave me paper.
I would go to Prometric then and ask them if they use paper. -
