the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is preferred over the standard IQ test now. This breaks out the "intelligent" skills in to different areas. And is specific in how it tests each area, so weakness in one skill does not affect results in other areas.
the test below is based around analitical reasoning skills, I know from experience of having carried out several Wechsler tests in my time through school and work, that I score highly in reasoning areas, however if this test was to test working memory skills I would come out as one of the worst.
So for people who don't score great in this test, remember this is only testing one of many areas that in my view are important to make it in IT / Networking. while if you are weak in all areas it may be a problem. Just having a weakness in one is normal. Very few people are outstanding in all areas. Most people are either average across the board, or strong in some areas an weak in others. Its almost like if you are a genius in one skill you have to pay for it with another. Of course there are the people who are strong across the board but they are quite rare and I doubt there are many hanging around this forum.- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. i took the longest on the word translation one, as I basically wrote that one out.
The only thing that bothers me is that I thought that I had the perfect answer to all of the last 20, and none of them confused me, so I can only wonder if I finished too fast and missed something easy (did it in about 5 minutes).
I tried to be honest on the first 10.Currently Working: CCIE R&S

I should have written down the secret code one. I am in work and my boss beside me would have been curious what I was doing. So I tried to do it in my head, and eventually gave up for fear of running out of time. -

fun stuff.
for those wanting to improve,go to the advice tab and read the bottom part for logic. Also, as The unconscious Problem solving section under advice states, leave a notepad at the side of your mind. I always have notepad and sticky notes at the side of my mind!
I got 84 overall.
