After three different attempts of my exam crashing (test by vue) I failed it. I feel discouraged because I have been studying for several months now. The test was pretty fair. I got one router sim; OSPF and I forgot to delete the routes that were already configured. After I realized what I forgot to do my mood completly changed because I knew I was done. I had a couple of drag and drops and lots of troubleshooting questions too.
I wonder what I am doing wrong. I have been studying from two books Cisco Press and Sybex and the sad part about it was that I thought I was ready. After failing the test I know I have to re-take it but I don't feel like it. However, I have to bounce back and hit the books again
Are there any good OSPF sims out there?

GodHand Member Posts: 46 ■■□□□□□□□□Dont feel bad dude there are many people failing this exam. I have a friend who failed 4 times but do not lose hope. Buy some books and read some articles from Cisco site.
I bet you can do it the next time. Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. -
QUIX0TIC Member Posts: 277GodHand is right. Dont fret about failing the test. You know exactly where you errored at and so the next time you will know that you will not commit that same mistake. Its all about learning from your mistakes and then moving on. If everyone passed the first time, then it would normally mean that the test was too easy or a bogus subject.
Imagine taking a Microsoft test with just reading the books given. Do you think you can pass it by reading some books... IMHO, you would have to be some super engineer who can pass a MS exam without a little assistance form third party vendors.
Take the test again, and if you feel that you dont want to read the same books... then read the CCNP books or go for another CCNA book instead of the ones that you all ready have."To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation." -

Now you have a better understanding of what to expect. Study hard and kick that tests ass!
You can beat it. -
